Puglia, land of light and stone
There is a special light in Puglia.
It comes from the sea and reflects off the white houses, glides through the ancient olive groves, and caresses the pale stone that, for centuries, has been used to build churches, trulli, and farmhouses. It is a light that tells stories of ancient peoples, of patient hands, of a land that has learned to live between wind and sun.
Puglia is not just a region, but a journey through time and the senses. From Gargano to Salento, it unfolds like a long peninsula of changing landscapes: rugged cliffs and golden beaches, endless wheat fields, twisted olive trees that seem like sculptures, and villages that seem suspended between sky and sea.
Here you breathe in the scent of the Adriatic and the Ionian seas, but also that of freshly baked bread, new olive oil, and fermenting grape must in cellar vats. It is a land of contrasts and harmonies, where the past lives alongside the present, and where every stone tells a story Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Norman.
Each village has its own rhythm, each city its own song.
And in the heart of northern Salento, where the hills grow gentle and the sea is just a step away, Carovigno preserves its own voice: ancient, authentic, and full of light.
